Turn a New Leaf was created to provide products which enhance our homes, community and planet and for sharing our passion towards a healthier and more realistic sustainable future. This blog is the collaboration of Henry Krieger and Tracey Marsh, the inspiration and proprietors behind Turn A New Leaf.
Here we present an evaluation, reflection and hopefully a passing on of wisdom’s gained throughout our daily activities. In essence a common sense approach to simple living.
We are a family living in the Highlands of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, eking out an existence in harmony with our natural surroundings and forging a path guided by our strong convictions to help enhance and respect the natural world we live in. We home-school our two oldest children, meanwhile entertaining the needs of our youngest one still in diapers, just starting to walk. Early in 2012 we acquired a 10 acre parcel of forested land on the southern slope of MacMillan Mountain. We’ve carefully opened half an acre among the trees to provide a place for the newly completed shed/shop and for our off-grid natural house which we will build through 2013. With careful, conscious and respectful foresight we will develop our little piece of paradise into an exemplary natural and sustainable home.
Nice website Tracey & family…looking forward to watch your new home develop in the coming year!
